Compensation: $44,990.40 - $53,040

Employment Status: Regular, Full-Time, Non-Exempt (90 day probation)
Schedule: Mostly M-F sometimes on Saturdays; Varies depending on the days evening classes are held. Afterschool Programs begin at 3:30pm and Cultural Programs begin at 6pm ending by 9pm. Typical arts/crafts projects take from 2 days to 14 days. This position must be able to have a flexible schedule. Overtime is necessary from time to time.

Position Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Youth and Family Engagement and Cultural Coordinator (YFECC) is responsible for providing cultural enrichment activities at the Bismarck location. This position provides direct support to Native American youth and families by offering daily after-school activities, community-wide culture events, and regularly scheduled culture, arts and performance exhibitions and sweat lodge ceremonies. The YFECC will not only plan cultural programs, coordinate artisans and storytellers, and host the arts and crafts programs for afterschool programs and evening family programs; the YFECC will engage youth and families involved in at-risk of juvenile delinquency and at-risk of out-of-home placement. The YFECC’s goal is to improve family unification through active engagements, supportive services by connecting them to necessary services and resources in the community and to our cultural/spiritual programs.
Required Qualifications:
• Must have an associate degree in human services, behavioral health or criminal justice. Other types of associate degrees will be considered.
• Must have at least one year’s experience with project coordination.
• Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be detailed oriented with time management and organizational skills to properly conduct case management including documentation practices required by program guidelines.
• Must be knowledgeable in Tribal cultural arts and crafts and spiritual practices.
• Must be able to maintain professional relationships.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor of applied science degree in behavioral health, human services or criminal justice or another related field. Other types of bachelor’s degrees will be considered.
• Previously state certified in Care Coordination.
• More than one year of prior care coordinator and/or case management experience working with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system, addiction, and mental health and/or disabilities with positive references.
